Random thoughts on the pro-life movement
So apparently the Catholics are in a dither over Obama’s recent ruling mandating that church-affiliated insurance and medical organizations must provide contraception. The irony is that they were able to decrease the availability of contraception, abortion rates would increase. A lot of feminists/liberals would cite this inherently hypocritical attitude as further evidence that the pro-life movement isn’t pro-life at all, it’s anti-woman (and I’m not about to deny that, especially after they tried to narrow the legal definition of rape), but I think it’s more simple than that. I think, ultimately, the Pro-life movement is really pro-control (which, incidentally, the whole rape thing is pretty damning evidence for). It’s not about men vs women, it’s about making people’s most personal decisions for them.
I’d ramble on, by I need to get back to work.

Fuck the Catholic church. If they want to meddle in my medical affairs, they can just go back to the Vatican.
